Does Anyone Need Flood Insurance in Kitsap County?

When we think of flood insurance some of us think immediately of hurricane damage to the Gulf of Mexico states and those along the southeastern United States.

For those of us living in Kitsap, Jefferson and Mason Counties we're safe…right?  Think again!  How many of us have homes that are in the flood plain of local rivers?  That requires flood insurance which is not usually a rider on a homeowners insurance policy.  Click here to check out flood insurance provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
